A new message from Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and CHP presidential candidate, was shared on the Presidential Candidate Office account. İmamoğlu's message, which called for the implementation of sick detainees and the Constitutional Court and ECHR rulings, included the following statements:

This government, whose political philosophy is based on testing people with prison, is destroying justice and conscience. Despite her health problems, Ayşe Barım, who was held in prison for months using unlawful methods, was freed only for one day. She is also in the hospital. The reissued arrest warrant demonstrates the insistence on injustice. Tayfun Kahraman, Mehmet Murat Çalık, Muhittin Böcek, and all sick prisoners and detainees, who are in prison despite their complete undeservedness, must also be released, as a matter of conscience.
